    Parkhill, Smith & Cooper embraces Leadership Development training

    The CrossGroup was selected by Parkhill, Smith & Cooper for an intensive, one year Leadership Development program that focuses on leadership, management skills, communication, team engagement, clients and sales, time management and presentation skills.  Top executives begin the program in August.  To accentuate the training, the program includes reading assignments, application exercises, personal assessments, individual coaching and online discussion forums.  Two groups of middle management staff begin similar training in October.

    Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) Uses the CrossGroup for Employee Development

    The CrossGroup has developed a series of Lunch and Learn training sessions for the employees of TRWD.  The selected topics were based on a survey of employees and include a wide variety of subjects such as Team Building, Negotiation Skills, Time Management, Personal Accountability, and Handling Conflict.  The sessions are delivered quarterly on-site at TRWD.

    For more than 80 years, the Tarrant Regional Water District has provided quality water to its customers, implemented vital flood control measures and created recreational opportunities for Tarrant County, residents and communities.  TRWD provides water to more than 1.7 million consumers in the North Central Texas area.

    CrossGroup presenting at the Texas Society of Professional Engineers

    Mark Cook of the CrossGroup led a two-hour, continuing education seminar –  Engaging Employees Through Career Development — during the Texas Society of Professional Engineers annual meeting June 23-26 at the DFW Marriott Hotel and Golf Club at Champions Circle.

    Mark Cook, a partner in the CrossGroup said, ”Career development is key in attracting, retaining, and engaging today’s employees.  Management’s ability to address this interest is key to a productive and profitable business.”

    The 74th annual meeting of the TPSE features three days of seminars and networking.

    CrossGroup to speak at Fort Worth Chamber on May 27, 2010

    Jim Cross and Mark Cook spoke to a Gold/Preferred Member Breakfast on May 27, 2010.  They discussed the strategic planning methods they utilized while working for Tarrant County College earlier this year.  The Chancellor of TCC, Erma Johnson Hadley, joined the interactive dialogue with nearly 90 Chamber members in attendance.

    TCC board unanimously approves the strategic plan

    The CrossGroup completed the strategic plan for Tarrant County College.  The TCC Board approved the plan unanimously.  For more information about the plan see the article in the Fort Worth Star Telegram or access TCC’s website.

    Mark Cook, CrossGroup partner and project manager for the project said, “This was an incredibly satisfying project.  With over 1100 participants and over 60 separate meetings, we felt we heard from a wide array of stakeholders.  The Vision 2015 Team did a great job of crafting strategies that address the future of Tarrant County and TCC.”

    Tarrant County College selects the CrossGroup

    The CrossGroup was selected by Tarrant County College to facilitate its strategic planning process.  The CrossGroup used the Appreciative Inquiry method to solicit input from across the county. 

    Tarrant County College District, a comprehensive two-year institution established in 1965, is dedicated to providing quality education that exceeds the expectations of the people of Tarrant County.  More than 45,000 students are enrolled in TCC’s associate degree and technical programs, making it the sixth largest among Texas colleges and universities.  Continuing Education, Corporate and Workforce Services offer additional opportunities for businesses and individuals of all ages, through non-credit courses, workshops and customized training programs.  The college has five major campuses in the cities of Hurst (Northeast Campus), Fort Worth (Northwest, South and Trinity River Campuses), and Arlington (Southeast Campus), with administrative offices in downtown Fort Worth at the May Owen Center.

     Catholic Health East Implements Presentation Skills Training

    The CrossGroup was selected by Catholic Heath East to customize and deliver Presentation Skills training for their mid- and senior-level executives.  Using video recording and receiving individual coaching, the participants learned and practiced the techniques of giving an effective and professional presentation.

    Catholic Health East is a multi-institutional Catholic health system. Based in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, the system includes 34 acute care hospitals, four long-term acute care hospitals, 25 freestanding and hospital-based long-term care facilities, 14 assisted-living facilities, four continuing care retirement communities, eight behavioral health and rehabilitation facilities, 37 home health/hospice agencies, and numerous ambulatory and community-based health services. CHE employs approximately 54,000 employees and is the largest provider of home health care services (ranked by number of visits) in the nation.

    Ridglea Country Club selects the CrossGroup

    The Board of Directors at Ridglea Country Club held a strategic planning session to address the challenges of the current economy.  The CrossGroup was selected to help club leaders evaluate their existing strategies and operating policies and establish a new Strategic Plan.

    Ridglea Country Club is one of the largest member-owned clubs in Fort Worth.  It has celebrated more than 50 years of history and tradition. It provides a full range of services to its members; including golf, tennis, swimming, nursery care, and fine dining. The club is known for its quality facilities and consistent high-level of service.
