Jim Cross Managing Partner

Jim Cross has more than 25 years experience in the Professional Development field. He started at IBM and achieved success in sales and management. He was promoted to IBM’s Executive Development Program where he was instrumental in the development of many of IBM future leaders. Cross became Director of Training for Tandem Computers where he was responsible for professional development worldwide. Jim has been Manager of Professional Development for Freese and Nichols for the last 8 years. At Freese and Nichols, Cross built a professional development program that was selected by the Association of Training and Development as the “Best Place to Learn” in the Dallas Fort Worth area for 2007. He was also involved with Freese and Nichols winning the Quality Texas Award for Performance Excellence. Jim was an examiner for Quality Texas, which used the criteria from the National Malcolm Baldridge program.
Jim has been an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Business for the University of Texas-Arlington and the University of Dallas. He holds an MBA and a BS degree from Texas Christian University.
Mark Cook Partner

Mark Cook has spent years helping individuals and companies improve their productivity. He spent more than 25 years educating volunteers and assisting nonprofits to better administer their organizations. In 1999, he founded a consulting firm to serve as a guide to organizations and people seeking new levels of productivity and effectiveness.
Mark uses best-practice assessments, experiential learning, group processing and personal coaching to help organizations flourish and reduce people problems. His vision is to use his experiences as a consultant and facilitator to create an environment where real growth happens – where people focus on improving their organizations and growing personally. He has developed unique skills for leading and facilitating groups from training thousands of employee and volunteer leaders.
Professional development of employees has been one of his major contributions to the organizations he has served. He is a student of people; he studies people and how they relate to each other within teams and organizations. Mark is as comfortable working one-on-one in personal coaching or leading and training executive teams within a corporation.
Mark earned a BA at Hardin-Simmons University and holds a Master’s and Ph.D. specializing in Education from Southwestern Seminary.

The CrossGroup works strategically with several experienced and talented consultants. We are proud to be associated with Jeff Turner and John Sowada. They share our commitment to serving client expectations and expertise as facilitators and trainers.

Jeff Turner is the founder and managing consultant of Excelleration, LLC, a professional growth and organizational development company. He seeks to improve the leadership and performance level of businesses, community organizations, sports teams, and individuals.
Jeff is a skilled facilitator who quickly adapts to group dynamics to assure that the interactions achieve focused results. He combines his backgrounds in engineering and psychology to create practical and insightful learning opportunities.
Jeff is a public speaker and management coach helping people work through challenges by finding their strengths. In addition, he facilitates learning on his own challenge course.
